  1. What is RepairTime?

RepairTime is an online automated referral network used by homeowners looking to find qualified, competent and reliable home service providers based on referrals from their friends, family and neighbors.

  2. How does RepairTime work?

Homeowners register online to become members of the RepairTime network. Then they invite Service Providers they have used in the past to join the network. Homeowners invite their friends, family and neighbors to join the network too. These folks also invite Service Providers they have used to join the network. As homeowners join the network and continue to invite their preferred Service Providers and people they know to participate, a vibrant and active network of users and providers is created - all connected.

When registered homeowners have a home repair or improvement project, they initiate a service request online that is automatically sent to a service provider within their network best suited for the project. No calling, hunting, or chasing. Quick. Convenient. Anytime. Anywhere.

  3. What is the cost for homeowners to participate in the RepairTime network?

There is absolutely no cost to homeowners for using the network. It is free of charge to them. Obviously, they are required to pay for the services provided by Service Providers.

  4. Do the homeowners pay the Service Providers?

Yes. Service Providers charge and receive payment for services directly from the homeowners.

  5. Why should I become a member of the RepairTime network?

As many as 80% of homeowners rely on referrals from people they know when seeking a home service provider. RepairTime is the only online automated network that allows homeowners to exchange referrals and share information regarding home repairs and improvements.

  6. What are the benefits of participating in the RepairTime network?

As you build your network, you have quick and convenient access to a wide range of home repair and improvement service providers that have been tried and proven by the people you know. No more hunting for business cards, leafing thru yellow pages, or tracking down friends, family or neighbors for referrals. Simply submit your service request online and our technology will match your request with a service provider used by someone you know.

All of your service requests are stored online so you have a ongoing record of the worked performed on your home.

  7. How is RepairTime different from ServiceMagic, Kudzu, Angie’s List, To-Fix-It, and others?

Unlike these and other online resources, RepairTime provides referrals to homeowners (i.e. you) from people you actually know and trust. No other online service provides homeowners this level of trust and peace-of-mind. RepairTime is NOT a directory service, random third-party matching service, advertising service, or subscription service.

  8. Can Service Providers participate in the RepairTime network without receiving an invitation from homeowners or previous customers?

No. The integrity of the RepairTime platform rests on providing homeowners with referrals from people they know. Therefore, Service Providers cannot participate in the network without first being invited by registered homeowners.

  9. Can I cancel my participation in the RepairTime network?

Yes, but it is unlikely that you would ever decide to do so, since there is absolutely no cost to you for being a member.

  10. Do homeowners provide ratings and reviews of service providers?

Yes, homeowners are encouraged to do so. And, these report cards are available for viewing by other members. However, only registered members who have used a service provider are allowed to submit ratings and reviews of the service providers. This restriction is for the benefit and safety of all of our network participants. It allows us to better protect the integrity of our platform.
